Edward S. Spal
Ed Spal is an accomplished CEO with 39 years of global experience providing Sales Marketing and Operational support to all levels of management within manufacturing, retail and financial organizations. A dynamic team builder and leader with a progressive career path spanning all aspects of the business cycle, including P&L, financials, sales, sales management, marketing, and operations. He has managed large and small teams in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations with manufacturing, financial and retail entities. He has been a Vice President General Manager in the Furniture industry; the past as CEO and General Manager he has grown organizations within the furniture and retail; most recently as CEO in Building materials industries for the last 10 years both domestically and internationally across the globe. He is very experienced in managing all levels of growth, profitability, and efficiency for businesses across diverse industries, including those in startup, early-growth, and turnaround stages in both public and private companies.
Ed received his degree from San Diego State University in Management and Marketing.

Business Development Director
Dave Rupp earned a BS in Forestry Industries Management from The Ohio State University and has 25+ years of experience in the wood products industry working with Fortune 500 and international companies. With Georgia Pacific he managed sales for plywood and paneling mills and developed and managed national account service programs. During his tenure with Arch Chemicals he managed wood treatment accounts valued at over $30 million and generated growth over 35% with accounts in North America, Chile and China. As the North American Business Manager at TimberWood Products he increased sales by 35% while developing and managing relationships with distributors, utilities, local governments, architects, engineers, specifiers and developers. Most recently Dave served as Business Development Manager for Michelman managing release business including coatings and application equipment for OSB, particleboard, MDF, plywood, Engineered Wood Products markets and rubber. Dave is skilled in developing strategic alliances within the business, government and environmental communities to position products for sales expansions.
Felisa Chan is a passionate researcher with 25+ years work experience. She has strong theoretical understanding and research skills in wood science, bio-based resins and composites, fiber modification, and application of nanoparticles in resin and composites. She has worked in the development of lignin-, tannin- and pyrolysis oil- based wood adhesives for exterior application. She has worked at the Wood Science and Technology Centre, University of New Brunswick (UNB), Canada where she was involved in wood adhesives certification and standards development. She conducted R&D work for wood and related industries. Felisa is a member of the Canadian Standards Association, Sub-Committee in Wood Adhesives and the Forest Products Society. She finished her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Monash University, Victoria, Australia and her Masters in Forestry (Wood Science) from the University of the Philippines at Los Baños in Laguna, Philippines. She finished her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Mindanao in Philippines. Felisa has worked with the Department of Chemical Engineering, Université Laval in Quebec, Canada and at the Philippine’s Forest Products Research and Development Institute. Felisa co-supervises graduate students and teaches a course in Wood Technology at UNB.
Matt earned a degree in chemistry from Texas State University – San Marcos with a focus on materials research. He currently works for Rockwater Energy Solutions, a chemical manufacturing company that creates emulsion polymers for water treatment and production chemicals to the oilfield. Matt has been involved in several product development projects that he took from the bench top to full scale reactors. Matt brings value to the team as a result of his knowledge and experience as a reinforced materials researcher.
Wing Ho Ma
Wing Ho Ma is a Civil Engineer with over 3 years of professional experience in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering. Wing graduated from Rowan University with a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering and is currently working towards his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Wing also has extensive experience with both field work (i.e. CQA, inspections, documentation, etc.) and office work (i.e. permit and report preparations; client meetings; project management, etc.).
Wing is currently an Associate Member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Structural Engineering Institute (SEI). He is expecting to receive his Professional Engineering license in the State of New Jersey within a year’s time. Wing is very interested in the growing field of technologies today and is always looking for the next breakthrough, especially in the field of civil or mechanical engineering.
Mr. Park is a Certified Hedge Fund Professional (CHP), with additional (CHP) certifications at the highest level in Portfolio Analytics & Risk Management. He also attended the Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business (Leadership &amp; Management) and has served in executive leadership positions for over 20 years. Mr. Parks has closed several acquisitions and multimillion dollar lines of credit from hedge funds; as well as negotiated and / or closed many mergers, strategic partnerships, license and/or sponsored research agreements and joint ventures. As an experienced practitioner of business strategy, he has read, studied and applied numerous books and countless articles relating to business strategy (According to the Wall Street Journal, the most sought after executive skill set is strategic thinking).
